The return on a place in an each-way is a fraction of the odds (often a third but may be les).

So at 7-1 the "win" would be about £10, plus the £5 stake.

If there were only four runners you wont get a return because all the stake goes on to win only, probably why you found it,. Good luck anyway its worth a try
