How much does daycare cost?

my sister lives in queens NY and is going to be a single mother i was just wondering how much Daycare could cost..

I live in Long Island i charge 15 a day ...Tell her to ask around at her building or neighborhood I'm sure some one babysits make surprise visits count the diapers every time you take the baby and when you pick her/him up to make sure there caring for them and always make sure you ask other people that have used this babysitter are there children happy there are they excited to go in the mornings ( hint: babies usually aren't excited to leave their mother but if its a fun safe environment toddlers and kids are usually eager) hope it helped and good luck to your sis

It depends on where you live and what type of daycare you go with.  I live in WV, about 60 miles from Washington DC in a very suburban area and it averages about $250 a week per child for a daycare center.  If you go with a home daycare they are usually cheaper and will sometimes make deals.  I had the wife of one of my husband's co-workers who has a in home daycare watch my 2 kids full time for about a year and she charged me $250 a week for both.  It is too darn expensive in my opinion, but a necessity unfortunetly.

She would have to shop around...it depends on who and where she goes. It could vary from $100-$150 a week.

It sounds like ALOT (& it is!!!) but b/c my husband & I work those long hours it really only comes to 4$ an hour & I don't know anyone that would babysit for that little

When we do part time its 50$ a day
