Question:

How much is honesty appreciated?

Just wondering: Let's say if you cheat on a test, stole something, or didn't work hard on an assignment. And then you admit it, and honestly tell the teacher exactly what happened.

How would the teacher think about the student from that point on? And also would the punishment be any softer, worse, or the same?

Please tell me.

  1. uh, i don't think honesty is appreciated enough.

i think because our society has been too trusting.

there are always those people that ruin it for everyone.

you know, the ones that lie all the time?

then people find out their lying and can't trust anymore.

    "/

so there's no more trust in our society.

it all depends on the teacher.

because the teacher may be touched that you're being honest....

it all depends on who's saying it, and who's accepting the information.

    :D

    good luck!

  2. same punishment, but will thank you for telling the truth.

  3. Well I would hope that the teacher would have mercy !because if a person feels guilty about their stealing, there is a possibility of helping that student for further achievements. By the teacher acknowledging their honesty, also is a valid reason to let them understand life is not always about winning  or loosing but trying! because at some point we all fail, but we are all very good at some things.   And as for the punishment it should be the same, because cheating is cheating, although I wouldn't give them a severe punishment but I would warn them if this behavior is caught again there will be no leancy

There this poem that goes like this, don't be dismayed because you tried, failure only comes to those whom try!

  4. All teachers are different. There is no one answer that may fit here.Cheating is only hurting you. Stealing hurts the person from whom you stole. As for not working hard on an assignment, well that also falls to you. If you do the first two, a teacher will find it hard to trust you again no matter how much she would like to. I would give you a 0 for cheating. You would have to confess to the person from whom you stole and make some kind of amends. As for the assignment? You would get the grade you deserve. No second chance.

  5. i think they wouldnt trust you anymore on tests & stuff

you punishment will be the same

i am just saying what i think will happen
