do u know any way to increase download speed?my bit torrent always tell me u need to open up a port however my firewall is off

use a download accelerator. torrents are download by taking files from different server where the files are hosted. by using download accelerator your torrent downloader will  find more host.. but if the file your downloading arent host on several servers then nothing you can do about the speed.

at most 16kBps and u must open port check ur modem work properly

u have a router dont u

tell the router to forward the port or turn on uPNP in utorrent hopefully ur router supports it

Try

control panel > allow through firewalls > tick p2p

Open utorrent > options > preferences > connections > randomise port each time wants to be unticked and proxy server wants to be 'None'
