How much should dancers be paid?

I'm doing a series of live shows in small capacity venues (<200) and was just wondering how much dancers should be paid. How much do dancers at raves get paid for instance?

It is of course negotiable (several days work near home is preferable to a one-off 300 miles away) but anything less than £9 an hour or £100 a gig is insulting for a professionally competent job done only for the money (that is bare minimum).

Pay peanuts, employ monkeys.

If dancers are part of the creative process then anything goes.

They should be (and usually are) paid what they are worth. We live in a capitalist society:-)
