How often do menus change ???

Q.1 As in restaurants/Takeaways/cafes etc how often do they change

their Menus ???

Q.2 like takeaways maybe every year or six months ?

Q.3or Restaurants/cafes i am not sure do they change during the year according

to seasons, Daily etc ???

Q.4 And would they Have certain dishes they have served through out the year???

In reality restaurants ,takeaways and hotels seldom change a successful menu they often have specials and set lunch items but old and popular dishes are permanently on the main menu

1/ NOT AS OFTEN AS YOU THINK!

2/ only if they have to.

3/ they print menu's for a long time, then add daily specials.

4/ yes because if the customers like a certain dish it is kept.

In Texas menus rarely change. This is because we have access to most foodstuffs year round. I haven't heard the phrase "Sorry, but they're not in season" in 15 years. That is because of our location as both an international seaport (Houston) and closeness to central and south America, which either grow certain things year round or opposite to us.

In the US, the term is "takeout" not "takeaway". You Brits and your version of the language. Charming...  :)

Menus traditionally change when an item or item either becomes more in demand or less in demand. For example, form 2004 through 2006 there were a lot of Atkins diet items on menus. Now that the diet is no longer popular, they've been replaced. Then again, I've been to restaurants where the menu hasn't changed since they've opened... sometimes 20 years or more.
