  1. I have had a pair of Nicklaus tour grind wedges for a number of years.  Every season I file the grooves a bit to keep them from dulling, but with the new groove technology out there, I'm thinking of upgrading to a new set.

  2. I don't change out clubs until there is substantial visual damage that may effect the travel of the ball. I've only been golfing for 9 months and changed my driver once.

  3. I am the same way.  It seems like wedges are so much more personal though.  I mean, every shot with a driver is essentially the same...swing hard and try and hit it straight.  With wedges, you have to manufacture so many different kinds of shots that to switch those out often would make your feel around the green less consistent.  What do you think?

  4. driver maybe 2 years wedges maybe ever year

  5. WELL IF YOUR PLAYING WELL WITH YOUR WEDGES I SEE NO NEED TO REPLACE THEM. YOUR DRIVER OVER RATED LOOK AT HOW MANY TIMES YOU USE IT COMPARED TO YOUR WEDGES. I'M NOT REAL BIG ON SWITCHING CLUBS FOR THE SAKE OF SWITCHING CLUBS. I HAVE WORKED IN THE GOLF BUSINESS FOR OVER TEN YEARS. REPS OFFER OR GIVE ME NEW CLUBS ALL THE TIME. I'LL TRY OUT NEW CLUBS BUT SEEM TO STAY WITH SAME BRAND TITLIST IRONS, CALLOWAY WOODS, CLEVELAND WEDGES AND THE SAME OLD SEEMORE PUTTER. I'M USED TO THOSE COMBINATIONS AND HAVE STUCK WITH IT FOR YEARS. THINKING ABOUT IT NOW I'VE HAD THE SAME WEDGES AND PUTTER FOR THOSE TEN YEARS. ALL THE OTHER STUFF I'VE UPGRADED.

  6. I've had the same driver for 2 years, when it dies I'm going to get another, I love it.

I'm replacing a 304 stainless wedge this year due to wear. I'm not sure it would even last the rest of this year if I kept it. Kind of a bummer, I did like that wedge, but I'm trying a forged this time. I'll see how long that lasts.

  7. I have used several drivers since I started playing, but ever since I got my Nike Pro Combo sand wedge in 2004, I haven't hit another sand wedge.  I just regrip it.

  8. normally I have found that a titanium driver will last me between 3-5 years before losing some of its pop. Wedges seem to last at least that long, but I usually find a newer model sooner than that
