How old are these balls?

I was given 3 dozen golf balls. They are in the original sleeves and boxes and stamped "Titleist DT Wound 90". Can someone tell me about how old they might be, and anything else that might be interesting about them?

  1. Hi that particular ball has been around for some time. They may have stopped it now but was a common ball for the higher handicapper.

The 90 was the compression of the ball,so this indicated it is a hard ball. You can tell the difference by dropping balls on the concrete and listening to the pitch

Good for soft greens were you don't need to spin the ball and for slow greens were the harder ball will come off the putter face a bit quicker.

    good golfing

  2. sorry this is all i found http://www.golfreview.com/cat/balls/titl...

  3. You may or may not have gotten old golf balls, as you can still buy this model new.

These are GREAT for adding distance to your shots, and are great quality.

These are also the oldest balls still in production!

  4. if the number is red , they are 5 to 8 years old

  5. the DT was the predecessor of the pro v1.  so I don't think they are that old.

  6. The DT Wound 90 was produced from the late80s until the early-2000s.They do not make the DT Wound 90 anymore. The only DT's still made are DT Carry and DT Roll. The DT 90 is simply a 90 compression model  wound golf ball which is how much force it takes to compress the ball. It was not the predecessor to the of the PRO V1 (professional version 1). That was the Titleist Professional 90 or 100 and before that it was the Titleist Tour Balata 90 or 100. The DT or (durable titleist) has been around for 40 years and is the low end model of Titleist golf balls.
