How old should my son be?

Ok so i know as a mother i schould already know this but i was wondering how old my son should be when he starts pre-school and or kindagarden now he will be 5 on the 4th of nov. and because most schools have a dead line for there age rang i am kind of confused. If you can help me even a little i really thank you. And only real answers please. No one putting me down no need for that i will report you im just warning you now.

if your son is in the age guidelines to start kindergarten in the fall you should definitely enroll him now.  if he misses the guideline then i would ask about enrolling him in a preschool class for the fall.  if it is possible see if you can enroll your son in a preschool class now.  where i live they have to be able to use the bathroom on their own.

if you aren't able to get him into a preschool class right now, see if it is possible for you to sit and visit a kindergarten or preschool class for about 30 minutes.  do this 2 to 3 times this year so your son has an idea of what happens in a classroom.  most schools are very open to this, so give one a call.

3 or 4 years old, your son should been in pre school. By the time hes 5 (years old he should be going into kindergarten, but to order to pass kindergarten, he should know who to color inside the lines of a picture, if he can't , he cannot pass kindergarten, he has to go back again... you should contact your local school district (if you are placing him in the public school system) and ask them what the birthday cutoff for this fall's kindergarten enrollment is.  that will tell you what you need to know.  he should already be in preschool at this age, but definitely this year if he is not eligible for kindergarten this fall due to his birth date.

It has been proven that the age of 3 for a half day or park pre-school program is great for kids.  If the kids are "at risk" for learning problem  the state has to provide full day preschool at 3 (in ILL).

Learning happens in many endowments and your local library and park districts have programs that are free and can help socialize your child.

He should have strated already but you can enroll him for the next school year. Just contact the local schools and they will give you all the info you need to know.

My nephew started school when he was 4, but I'm pretty sure that it depends on what month your son was born.  Either way I would contact a school about getting him in.

if your son turns 5 on say nov. 4th, 2007 he will still be five when he starts school.  If the new school year starts on Sept. 12th, 2008 your son will be 5 yrs and 11 months old, see what i'm saying he will always be almost a year older than everyone in his class, depending on his classmates b-days!  hope this helps

At 3 or 4 he should have been in pre school. By 5 he should be going onto kindergarten.

Most kindergarten's accept kids who are five, but every district has a different cut off date for when a child can enter.  For example, where I live, a child must turn five by September 1 of that year.  So, if you lived here, your child would not start kindergarten this year.  You should contact your local school district and they will be able to tell you what the cutoff date is.  If it's on or after Nov. 4th 2007, he goes to kindergarten, if it's before his birthday, he's got one more year.

I, myself am a 'BIG BUDDY' meaning I play and teach things to my 'Little Buddy' meaning a kindergarder. My little buddies are somewhere in four or five years of age. So I think your son should go to kindergarden.
