How should I behave?

Question

My friend decided to that my behavior was beyond his limits and decided to just be colleagues( we are).

I wanted to talk and try to solve our differences but he neglected me.

Now I send him greeting for his birthday. He did not answer.

Was I wrong? I only wanted to show him that even when a friendship ends we can still be polite. He probably thought I was chasing him?

Um, if he thought your behavior was beyond his limits and decided to have less of a friendship and then you kept on pursuing him, I think you need to stop.  If he doesn't want to work out the differences between you then leave him alone.  What's the big deal.  Make new friends and find new people to hang out with.  You're coming across as obsessed or needy or like you're a stalker or something....anyway, it's too strong.  Just leave the guy alone and let things fall where they will.
