How should i take this?

i havent had too much experience with boyfriends... but im going out with this one guy now and he's really serious. i don't mean crazy serious though. we're only in high school and we're really good friends at the same time. he keeps telling me things like, 'you're the best thing in my life right now' and a whole bunch of other things like that. im hoping to be in this relationship for a while... but he keeps making me feel kind of.. funny? im not sure how to explain it. he's really nice though, but he can be so serious and makes it sound like im the only good thing in his life. it makes me sorta nervous.

Your instincts are telling you that you are kind of nervous for a reason.  He's telling you that you are the best thing in his life "now."  What does he mean by "now."  That may mean in the future you may not be the best thing in his life.  I would definitely take this one slow.  He's really nice and funny and you want the relationship to last so do it.  Go out with him and have a good time but don't let things go to far until you test it and make sure he's the real thing.  Good luck!
