ok, well i got a form in the mail about miss teen nj. i realized that i really wanted to compete for the pageant. i sent in my photo and application and the pageant people call for an interview. now since I'm only 14 they cant interview me without a parent on the line. i was going to only tell my parents if i got accepted because i didn't know if they would approve or we would have the money to compete. now if i want to do this I'm going to have to tell my mom.. please help me to approach her and give me some tips on how to ask.. please don't just say "just tell her" i don't have the best relationship with my mom and I'm looking for some serious responses. thanks

  1. There's really not much else to do but to 'fess up and talk to her.  I realize you don't have a good relationship with her, but you certainly will not gain anything by trying to work around her.

  2. I think you should work on the relationship with your mother before you work on trying to compete in a beauty pageant.

No actually it is not what you asked. If your mind is made up to do what you want because you want ti and never consider others feelings you will lead a lonely life eventually.

Grow up and be respectful enough of yourself to respect your mother.

  3. I don't think you should compete in the pageant. You need to work on the relationship with your mother. I know that its not easy to do that, but if you compete in the pageant it could make things at home hard on your family.

  4. If I can't tell you to just plainly tell her and you don't want relationship advice, there's really nothing left to say but grow up.
