  1. A lot of the time, if I don't think I know something as well as I should, is I read through all of my material one time.  I then try to make up as many questions as I can think of relating to what was covered through the term - if you read through your material first then there will be less of a chance that you will miss something you should be studying and know about.

After you have made up your quiz/test (you might even find one online for certain subjects) - go through and start answering them.  Make the questions quite difficult so that you KNOW when you are having a hard time answering something.  When you aren't sure about the answer go back and look at your notes, try to find out what you are missing or what you got wrong.

Another thing I like to do is make up examples.  While I am reading and making my own study notes I try to challenge myself to come up with an orriginal example for each topic - try to make it funny, witty or meaningful to you or your experiences.  If you can relate the knowledge to something you will have an easy time remembering then there is little chance you will forget it.

    Hope it helps.

  2. make big flashcards with the math formulas and stick them around your room, bathroom, etc. do the same with science concepts. with history, you read and tell a friend or even write an "imaginary friend" a letter as if the event were a gossip. good luck!

  3. jennifer your are to confused aint you if you cant study while just reading your books no one can help you except you so sorry that you cant do it your self

  4. flash cards maybe on important topics. Or have someone ask you questions. This sounds corny buy it kind of helps me. The only other thing I can tell you to do is to read them as many times as you can before exams. But remember to take breaks in between because then youll just get overwhelmed with so much info. Hope this helps! =] Good Luck

  5. what helped me with my bioscience final that had THE hardest tests last semester was making notecards with definitions.  even if I roughly knew a process, just knowing the vocab the questions used helped me figure the rest out to correctly answer a question.

that said, even math and history you can make notecards.  math, write rules on one side and an example on the back, history- dates, important people, vocab...

trust me, even if you don't review every notecard before the exam, just writing these things out helps!
