How to I get to Cuba?

Question

For an 18th Birthday/ Graduation Gift, my dad promised me any place in the world for 12 Days. I chose Cuba. I live in Maryland. How can I get there? Is it cheap? How do book a Hotel Stay There? Where should I stay?

And why would you want to go there anyway? Go to Fiji, it's amazing. Or Dubai. They have an underwater hotel.

You will need to make a new choice...and there are many great places to go.  See info below to read U.S. policy on travel t Cuba.  it is the ONLY country with such restrictions.  Hopefully , in the future the restrictions can be lifted.

the easiest way would be to get a free plane ride, at government expense, to guantanamo. believe it or not, you'll be in Cuba.

Almost all visitors to Cuba arrive by air, with scheduled flights arriving from Canada, the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Europe. The main gateways for US travellers continue to be Cancún, Nassau and Toronto.

There are direct flights available from the USA, but to take them US citizens will need the permission of the US Treasury Department, which restricts travel to Cuba to journalists, researchers and a handful of other groups. There's a USD $25.00 airport departure tax.

So from Maryland I would check getting to Cancun,Nassau,Toronto,Montreal,Dominican republic and from there travel to Cuba

FYI Cuba created a law to not stamp US passports and any one living here can ask not to be stamped as well. In the past it was a courtesy, now it is a LAW

fly to canada first.u can book all inclusive trip online then pay for the extra flight to and from canada but you'd have to check to see if cuba accepts americans coming in from canada but if i were you i'd choose mexico ...less hassel

You cannot get to Cuba from the U.S. unless you book it with a special education program.    General tourist travel from the U.S. is illegal.

Do you like the outdoors?   Nature?   Wildlife?   Scenery?   Go to Costa Rica.
