How to Volumize hair!?

Question

To get my current hair style i have to straighten it sometimes and it takes out some of the volume i was wondering how to get it back?

any ideas?

preferably stuff that volumizes hair from dry.

what i do:

first let your hair air dry naturally

next, flip your hair upside down and spray a little bit of hairspray around, this should give your hair some lift and volume!

then, flip your hair back to normal and give it a little shake.

this proscess will give you that messy rocker look with some volume that you want too!

I use a root spray that works okay but doesn't look like the first pic...lol.  I just lift sections of my hair and spray near the roots (either wet or dry hair) and then blow dry upside down or with a huge roller brush to lift my hair at the roots.
