Question:

How to approach a magazine ?

i have recently lost a rather large amount of weight ( almost 7stone) and being only 16 i do think that is quite an achievement , id like to share my story with other people as i think it would be a positive thing , and to show that you can beat the bullies , however im not sure how to approach magazines to see if they would be intrested in my story ?

  1. Jot a brief summary of your story explaining why you think it is special or interesting, including photographs if possible and send it by post to the magazine. You should address your letter to the Features Editor, if possible by his or her name (many magazines have a 'flannel panel', a small box in which the names of the various staff members are listed.) If you want your photographs back you should enclose a  stamped, self-addressed envelope.

  3. there is magazine racks in almost every store

  4. if u buy love it magazine, near the back of the magazine, there is a section where people can enter they story. i think i read u can get upto £2000 a story.

  5. in ok or seventeen magazine you can mail them your story send them your story by email but either way you have to give them your # so they can call and tell you if you made into the mag the highest chance of getting your story in 7teen is pretty high they have really good articals and yours would probably make it better -jess
