Don't leave it on overnight, buy an intercooler BEFORE ring of death, and don't smoke around it excessively.

Also make sure you have your warranty.

Make sure it has room to get air, its not on something like a carpet or rug so the air can't go in or out of the little vent holes. I have mine sort of elevated in mid air and use a mini fan behind it when i play it. Iv had mine for 1 month short of a year and no problems.
