In the past ten months I have read all thats bout fishing and I have caught n release many fishes.I have even caught rare species, big monster fish in respectable species but lately I felt stale bcos of the same species plus its very hard to encounter throphy size fish.I have tried all possible lures, tactics, location, lunar cycle etc.its boring now if cant get hookup of atleast 3kg fish with my 10lbs test.so any advice, where am i heading.I can land fish in any size below 3kg at ease, and small fishes is like trash fish to me now.can land sand whiting at about 50fishes in 2hrs,croakers bout 140 in 5hrs using a single hook, its like every cast result in something being caught.how can i improve my surf fishing.

  1.   If you are using live or dead bait then try artificial lures. (GULP!, D.O.A., Red Fish Magic are good baits.) Try different spots like under bridges, by rock jetties, ect... Get a boat. But the last off if catching croakers is boring then get a lighter action rod/reel and line to make it more fun! Hope this helps

  2. have you tried ground baiting where you fish? i usually fish on rivers and lakes so i doubt this will help you. Use bigger bait...
