How to block a number?

i have verizon for my cell phone, and i seriously have a stalker ex, and i have told them time and time again to leave me alone, but they won't. it's not calls, it's texts. and it's beyond the point of just trying to ignore it, i really must get at least ten texts an hour. i don't want to change MY number, is there any way to just block them? someone please help me.

I think you have to ring up your network and then they can do it for you. hope it all sorts out and he leaves you alone! x

You cannot block a phone number for incoming calls. I would suggest that you change your number. But if you have an account through verizonwireless.com (My Account), you can log in, and go to the text messaging page. Look under preferences, and you can place up to 10 numbers or so under text blocking. It will still send you a text, but with no words, only the number.
