How to build a movement?

Question

I am a service user activist - are there any books or blueprints for a movement to get human rights and acceptance.

Anything maybe written after the civil rights movment or g*y movement rhat is simple and accessible.

Just wondered if you had used all the Indymedia news sites for basic stories. Just do a Google search for it, an alternative news site in the UK and most parts of the world.

Sorry to be ignorant but what is a service user activist? Can anyone join?

Step ONe collect a group of like minded people.

Step two - create literature and facts for your case.

Step three- Present representations to the Local elected representatives.

Step Four- try to persuade and get some articles printed in the PRess.(dailies or weeklies)

Next try for the TV exposure. May be if the feed back is positive for your cause go for some demonistrations/seminars.....
