    To calculate molarity, you need the mass of the substance, and the volume it is dissolved in. With the mass, you can calculate number of moles by using the formula- moles= mass/molecular mass.

    Now you have the moles of the substance. This number of moles of the substance is included in the solution. You have the volume of the solution. The SI unit of molarity is mol dm^-3 or mol/L. Now, lets say the volume is V. Therefore the molarity is

    moles * V/a

    (where a is the conversion of unit, like if V is in cm^3 or mL, for example)
