How to cure a snake problem?

Question

I've a number of snakes in my garden. They're not poisonous, but I really don't want to dig around the garden with snakes all about, plus they're eating all my tree frogs.

Other than keeping the grass short, and removing as much of the hiding places for them that I can, is there anything that snakes like to stay away from?

Places like walmart and Lowe's sell a product that's called snake away.  It might or might not work.
