How to do laundry?

I don't know how to do laundry. Can someone help me? What clothes go with hot water or cold water? How does laundry go?

for jeans if they have a design turn them inside out turn the k**b to large load if their are alot turn the other k**b to cold put in detergent when the rinse cycle comes put in the fabric softner and when they are done shake them out and pop them in the dryer

for white clothes turn k**b to hot put in bleach and detergent put the clothes in and when the rinse cycle comes put in fabric softner

and for the other stuff you turn the k**b to warm water put in laundry detergent put the clothes in put in fabric softner when the rinse cycle comes and put them in the dryer

and if you dont know what the rinse cycle is it is when the water comes in like in the middle of the process of the clothes washing

The easiest way to explain is

You set all whites on hot water

Blankets/Towels to warm water

All colors on cold

Blacks should all be the same color in seperate

No problem!  Got 3 kids 11, 7 & 4, hyperactive/ADHD!

Step 1 - Sorting:  Red & Blacks, tans/browns/yellows, blues & greens, whites.  Remember how to make colors by mixing paint?  blue & red make purple.... purple should go with reds & blacks.

Step 2 - pre-treating:  search for Martha Stewart's web site and look up "laundry" or "stains", then print her stain sheet out and hang in your laundry room.

Step 3 - hot, cold, warm?  1st, read the garment label - usually on the bottom, side seam.  Generally, if it's mostly cotton, like jeans, delicate materials, linen, then it's COLD.  When in doubt - use cold & hang to dry.  Dryers like to shrink!

Whites - like socks and undershirts = Hot

Everything else - warm

Step 4 - Less wrinkles when clothes are hung up before dryer stops spinning.

Step 5 - A few secrets from a Mom with ADHD kids.....

Mustard = cheap amonia - when you spray it on - the mustard will turn very dark.....that's a good sign.

Red, clay mud = cheap amonia, wash in warm water and don't use the dryer.  Check to see if item needs to be pre-treated and washed a 2nd time.  This will depend on how long the stain sat in the laundry (untreated).

Seperate clothes by whites, light colored and dark colored. Wash linens and towels in hot water and you can wash other in cold saves money too
