How to do traffic control?

Coming up during the fall and winter time I work security for a mall and we need guards who can do traffic control. I learned it a while ago but I am trying to find a refresher. Does anyone remember the whistle counts for stopping going and all that kind of stuff.

I can see a lot of problems with this idea.

A private secutity guard has NO legal authority to stop traffic, even on private property, for one thing. AND , if any one has a car accident, due to your actions while  directing traffic, YOU can be sued.  Do you carry at least a million dollars worth of  personal liability insurance ? No ?

I'd stay far away from that job, way  too many possible legal problems.

Move traffic is two whistle blows.

Also remember that you need to use your hands to help as well.

That sounds like a fun job, it would make a perfect seasonal job. Do you get a whistle along with the uniform?
