The duties and responsibilities are vast.  My wife worked in a Child Development Center for a number of years.  Besides the personal training requirements, each child provider had different age levels they were responsible for.  Each age group is slightly different when it comes to sleeping and eating requirements, but each group definitely had rules on how the facility was to be used, when and what the children were to eat, nap time, playing inside or out, and specific craft time activities.  The CDC Director usually maintained a curriculum for the providers to follow.  State laws also dictate on what you must provide as a CDC/preschool environment.
