How to find a missing person?

my mother went missing about 5 years ago and we went to the police but they said she was last seen in victoria I live in quesnel. but then after that they stoped looking so I don't know where she is, is there any way to find her?

Hire a private investigator to do it.

It would require social engineering, access to records and a lot of free time to find her, and its just cheaper in time and money to have a PI do it, because they are paid only if they produce results.
