How to find perimeter?

I'm trying to find the area using the formula (A=1/2 ap), but I don't know how to first find the area of a six sided figure?

You could chop the six-sided figure into figures you know how to find the areas of, like triangles or rectangles.  Be careful not to cut shapes that might not exist (like drawing a line between two points AND with a given angle to a side).
