How to get over a guilt.

In Nov. of 2007, my friend egged an house. I was with her but I never threw an egg. We got caught, but we lied about egging the house. The owner of the house said he wouldn't press charges. He also said he would talk to my parents later on the day; but he never did. As time passed, the situation was never on my mind because school distracted me from it. Now its summer (August of 2008), and I'm mostly at home and the situation is always in my mind. How do I get over it?

  1. Just think that.. you might have done something bad, but others are not that good either. hope you understand what i am trying to say. mistakes are everywhere. is just the matter of whether you are aware of it or not. 1 day others may have done you wrong too..will they feel guilt

  2. He probably didn't care anyway and probably had a lot things to do and just was nice enough to let it slide. Kids will be kids he probably thought and probably he did this when you he was your age. Logically probably forgot didn't care or never got around to it and just left it alone.

  3. the owner probably knew u threw the eggs but he didnt press charges and didnt tell ur parents. thats a good thing!!!! at least ur feeling guilty about it.... now its time to get over the guilt. stop beating urself up over it. just dont do it again thats all!  :)

  4. It wasn't a really big deal, but its never too late to come clean about it, maybe that'll help?
