I have an ebay account with less than 100 feedback, so I just started selling items and I'm forced to accept PayPal. However I never signed up for PayPal and ebay doesn't say I NEED to. If a buyer pays me with PayPal. How will I get paid?

  1. You need to sign up for Paypal if you are going to get paid by Paypal unless something has drastically changed in the last year or so.  Sign up for Paypal and link it to your bank account.  That way you can transfer the funds directly from Paypal to your bank account.

  2. If youre really looking to earn selling stuff - stciking to eBay wont make you money - its a fact!

eBay = Use Paypal to send and receive money (a great processor).  they verify your account once you have followed their rules and instructions.

Sign up with other payment processors like Alertpay,Moneyrevolution Exhachange, SafePay,WorldPay, sell on free classifieds for those who dont have PayPal and sell your products on OTHER sites like:

    http://www.sellit-right.com

    http://www.craigslist.org

    http://www.amazon.com

Join their affiliate programmes IF they have one to earn EXTRA.

  3. You have other choices. You can

    - accept Paypal

    - if you have your own merchant account, accept credit cards directly

    - accept check payments

    - accept money orders

    - accept even concealed cash in the mail

HOWEVER -- majority of eBay buyers use and prefer Paypal. If you don't accept Paypal, you will lose a huge chunk of potential eBay buyers. But Paypal is not required (as of now) and you have the option of accepting other forms of payment

If you want to accept Paypal you need to sign up now. The basic Paypal account (personal account) has a limit on how much you can accept and withdraw in one month (only $500 I think)

Plus, you need to consider how to withdraw the money. You can get your money from Paypal in several ways:

    - request a check, BUT Paypal charges a fee for cutting you a check

    - get a Paypal debit card so you can withdraw your money

    - transfer to your bank account, which takes anywhere from 3-5 business days to process, and requires verification first (you put in your bank account info, Paypal will test if it is indeed yours by depositing a few cents in your account and you have to tell Paypal how much they deposited. If correct, then you can start doing transfering to your bank account)
