Im 15 for heavens sake, and I still get homesick!

just thinking that Im going to someone elses house later to sleep over makes me upset. I don't know why! It gets to the point that I make up excuses for why I can't sleep over. and when I do sleep over, I pretty much count down the hours til Im home.

its so frustrating because I don't want to feel like this!

please, anybody! how can I get rid of this feeling??

  1. I'm almost 20 and I still get homesick, especially now that I attend a college in another state (I know, I ask myself "Why?!" all the time). But I've found that just trying to keep busy and finding fun things to do and cool people to hang out with really makes the time go by faster. Btw, I always hated sleepovers, and somewhere in my teen years I just decided to turn them all down. There's nothing like sleeping in your own bed!

  2. Go home.

  3. i get that all the time.

just go over to your BEST friends house, and stay the night. no matter what, even if you stay up all night, just knowing that you made it will make you so much better. when i was 11 i went on a Whale Watch with my school, and i was in a hotel room with 2 unfamiliar girls.

i was literally in the shower all night with the hot water turned up full notch. whatever made me comfortable. because i knew i couldnt go home. i was 6 hours away. i was so homesick i was gonna throw up.

but i didnt, and i made ot through the night. and that next day was one of the best days of my  life.

this year, i had to fly to florida BY MYSELF! i am only 13, and i am TERRIFIED of flying. i dont get sick but omg, i think every noise means something is wrong.

but the point is i stayed in florida for a WEEK! i wanted to come home. but i knew that i couldnt, i was across the country

and i knew that every morning i would wake up to the smell of bacon and eggs and go to the beach and tan all day!

i am not homesick anymore. there is a difference between wanting to go home, and not being able to sleep because you are in a strange place.

stay with a friend. they will understand.

    hope i helped
