How to heal a wound quickly

I have a wound on me that I need to heal in as little time as possible. What can you suggest would speed recovery?

Betadine and gauze.  Nothing works quicker.

Use aloe vera juice jell.  Buy at health food store.

if it is a skin wound (i.e. cut, gash, scrape, etc.) than l**k it. something in the saliva helps heal wounds. unless you have an infection in your mouth. if it's like bone or muscle or something, try taking a long hot shower. (for muscle) or (for bone) try to ice/heat and rest it. don't lift anything heavy.

use  an alcohal swab to sanatize it then bacatracin(neosporin)  on it if u can do not use a band aid the air will help

From a nursing perspective, the best way to heal a wound quickly is to leave it alone.

Provided there is no infection, cover the wound with an occlusive, waterproof dressing. Leave it a week, don't peek, unless it lifts or leaks.

If this happens change the dressing.

Wounds heal best if the body is allowed to maintain a steady temperature and a moist environement for healing.

If you expeirience any signs of infection such as heat, redness, nasty odour or discharge, see your Health Care Professional. Wounds take longer to heal if they are infected.

For skin wounds zinc and aloe vera is supposed to be very good.

If you have a aloe vera plant in your garden tear a bit off and squeeze a bit of juice, sap whatever you want to call it on to your cut. It is apparently rich in vitamins and such and incredibly effective at fighting infections (or so ive been told) its worked for me when ive tried.

And thought that your saliva was full of germs and bacteia? surely that wouldnt be good for open wounds?

Like the first guy said, take zinc and rub a VERY SMALL amount of honey on the the wound. You'll be surprised how well this natural remedy works.
