How to improve my grades??

So, Im in high school now and everything I do will effect me getting in to a college. I'm home schooled on the computer, I am also ADHD and find it hard to concentrate on school work. I give 100 percent into my school work [studying, reading the material], yet I still get OK grades. I don't want C's, I want B's and A's. To get into the college I want to go to, I must keep a 3.0 or above to get in. I went in the school to get help a few times, but they just throw me a calculator, and say problem solved. My mom can't help because she doesn't know half of what I ask. How can I get better grades when I'm already trying my best?? Thanks

    .

  4. If you were to ask me, I would say enroll in Public Schools. They might not help you because they don't get paid for you as a student, so it's not in their interest to help you. However, if you were a student, you'd have teachers and such, and they could help you. Taking all your classes online is a really bad idea.

  5. Hi. If you have some money, take private lessons, find someone who will explain things to you. But you should try to correct your attention because of college, there you have to study too, even harder than in high school.

    Good luck!

  6. How about getting  a tutour have u tried that?

  7. um...study??

  8. Get the book "What Smart Students Know" by Adam Robinson. There's probably something in your method of studying that isn't quite enough to get you the B's and A's and this book will help you.

  9. Impressive question!

I was a note taker for disabled students in High School.  I had to learn to listen, write, still listen....  My point is Listening is an art and will help you retain information.  Not just hear, Listen.  You'd be surprised how useful the tallent is, for the rest of your life.

Ask your teachers if there is anything you can do for extra credit to improve your grade.  Better yet, DO an additional, not asked for or assigned project and present it to your teachers.  shows you are really trying to succeed.

Start applying for scholarships now.  By the time you get to college it is entirely possible that not only your college tuition, books, housing, and meals are paid for, but also a vehicle and fun money.  Here is a start for you:
