Although I have 'decent' dexterity I would like to improve on it. What are the best ways to improve on it and particularly while studying or in lectures?

Thanks

  1. Well I improved my manual dexterity quite recently. It was alot of work but I stuck to it and it improved alot. Basically I just read loads of manuals.

I read any I could get my hands on. Instruction manuals, information leaflets, user guides, quick set up guides, the lot.

I got manuals for microwaves, TV, DVD, Xbox, PS2, the fridge, my car manual, the manual for teh toaster, the leaflet out of a box of Preparation H cream and also the Cubase manual.

I find my dexterity for manuals has increased greatly and I think you should definatley look into this.

  2. Are you looking for small muscle control, or eye hand coordination? One of the easiest is drawing and improving your handwriting. That at least helps with the hand that you write with. From there start doing things that use your small muscles, everything from stringing beads to crochet. Using scissors and cutting delicate designs helps. Even typing using the keys correctly is helpful. For eye hand coordination you need to do things that make you watch your hands, catching a small ball, juggling, things like that.
