Question:

How to keep turnout?

i have been doing the frog, and many other turnout exersises, and i can get down really far, my hips do not touch the ground just yet, but i was just wondering durning class it doesnt seem like i have turnout i know i basically have to squeeze by hips, and put together, but is there more to it that i dont know about, and does anyone know anyother good exersises to improve turnout? and please tell me how long a day and a time period on if i should get improved tunout in maybe 3 monthes or somthing like that, and who ever gives more info gets the 10 pointes.

  1. Well Rosin is good for on a dance floor. It's the turnout in a box. I practice floor barre and turning out while I am on my back. I am also very careful about turn out while I am practicing.

    I'm sorry I have always been able to do the turnout well. The most common exercise is the frog stretch or butterfly. It will take time and repitition. If you want help maybe you should talk to your dance instructor. She can give you exercises or extra help.
