  1. My rats love this cake and I'm pretty sure its safe for hamsters.

just take a muffin (bran, blueberry, whatever your hamster likes) and cut it into a square, smother the muffin in cream cheese and top with nuts, seeds, yogurt drops, and what have you. if it is a special occasion I always put a few bits of chocolate in to the cake.

  2. I would get a Wilton Egg cake pan for the body. ( Pan: http://www.cakepancentral.com/scripts/pr... Then for the head, you can just carve out a head from whatever pan your prefer. Use a grass tip to make the actual hair all over. Cut ears out of with fondant or craft paper. I would say that the egg pan is your best bet for the body. You can also use the same grass tip to make green grass all over the cake board, or maybe some fake sugar pebbles or something. You would even buy one of those cheap water bowls and put "food" and "water" in them. Using color flo in thewater bowl would make it edible, but color flo needs to set for about 2 weeks if you have time.

  4. ..a what?

Haha, I used to buy "Hamster cheesecakes" or whatever they called them at the pet store when they had a birthday.  It was really just seeds stuck together with a lil peanut butter and honey with nuts, raisins, and other things.

I guess you could do that, but I wouldn't use honey.  The honey they use is probably hamster safe and I don't know about what we'd eat.  You can take hamster food in a couple teaspoons of peanut butter though, maybe add a couple treats, dried fruit, or nuts.  Just make sure it's not too big and too much for them or else they'll get sick.   Use as little peanut butter as possible.  A little is okay, but too much isn't good for them.

  5. I would do what NIcole says P.S. today's my hamster's birthayday:')

  6. I am not exactly sure what you were talking about the question looked interesting so I did I yahoo search.  I found a really cute hamster cake at the following web site http://www.thecakestore.co.uk/acatalog/H...  check out this cake its adorable and you can order it.  If I was going to try and bake on of these myself I would start at a craft store and buy a cake pain that had a hamster shape.  Mix up some cake mix and icing it to look like the one in the picture.  I love to bake but I dont think my answer really answers your question.  Sorry ;( the hamster picture was cute though that I had to share it with everyone.
