It is best to get the kitten formula from a reputable dealer.  Making your own can cause problems if the mixture is not perfect.  It's much easier, safer - and sometimes cheaper in the long run just to go to the pet store and buy it.  Would you make your own formula for a human baby and test it on him/her?  Why do it on a kitten?  Good Luck.

Kitten replacement milk is commercially available, sold as KMR replacement milk.  However, there are home recipes, and here is one:

3 oz condensed milk

3 oz water

4 oz plain yogurt (not low fat)

3 large or 4 small egg yolks - no whites

Whether using a commercial or homemade formula, only make enough formula for one day of feeding and keep it in the refrigerator. Wash and dry the bottles and nipples or feeding tube thoroughly between feedings. Warm the kitten milk replacer in a pan of water until 98-100ºF before feeding. Mix well before using to decrease the risk of any hot areas of formula.
