  1. yes you do... stand with your back to a wall arms straight out to the sides and have someone mark where the ends of your middle fingers touch the wall. then measure the distance between those two marks.


  2. I have been investigating human anatomy for quite some time and I have known that many people use very different methods for measuring wingspan.

    Firstly your arms should not be touching the wall when you measure with your back  against it. You will not record your maximum wingspan if your arms are aligned vertically with the upper back. Align the upper back and shoulders a few inches away from the wall.

    Your feet should also be close together, with the lower legs, shoulders, back, and buttocks touching the wall. Make sure your arms are around shoulder height for accurate results. The arms should be fully stretched for best accuracy.
