Question:

How to minimize face shiny-ness?

Is there some sort of after-makeup powder that can help minimize this? I use powder foundation, hoping it will help, but it doesn't really. I also use the Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets when it gets really shiny, but I'm wondering if there's something I can use to just sorta...help.

  1. I use this stuff from Mary Kay called "oil matte". It's a cream that I would rub on my forehead before makeup (or when I don't wear makeup) that absorbs the oil so my nose, forehead and chin weren't as shiny or oily. I loved it. Try it out! :D

  2. they make face washes to help with oily skin, all u have to do is read what is on the bottle. I use clearasil perfecting skin wash twice a day. it really keeps my skin at a nice level.

  3. Okay well first of all, make sure your not using moisturizers on your face. =)

Anyway, I use powder too and it works very well. Maybe its just the powder your using doesn't work well. I use Estee Lauder and it removes shiny-ness. I can't think of anything else that you can do...

    I hope this helps!

  4. Clean & Clear work great for me. I don't know of anything else...

  5. A lot of my friends have the same problem & I have the mixed face so I have both dryness and oil. But what I fined really effective is these oil absorbing wipes you can by at CVS or Rite Aid. I can't really remember what there called but its a Neutrogena product and its these little blue wipes and they take out the oil in your face leaving it looking fresh and none-shiny. you'd always use them in the morning before applying make-up.

    Hope this helps!
