How to network 2 computers?

Question

one of them is xp, the other windows 98. the one that has xp has the internet connection through comcast...the other does not have an internet connection. i recently installed a netgear modem to make the internet wireless, in hopes that i would be able to connect to internet with the other computer...

it didn't work...

what do i have to do so that the computer with windows 98 can connect to the computer?

Hopefully you purchased a netgear wireless router and not a modem.

If you did purchase a wireless router and not a modem,

Just connect to the router either through a cat 5(e) or better cable or wireless though either computer.

Your comcast cable goes to the input on the wireless router.
