How to paint my room?

I am planning on painting my bedroom with a Dale Jr theme. I wanted to paint the walls AMP green with a white stripe but then I realized that the green might make my room too dark. I really like the AMP colors, so what should I do?

  1. Green and white stripes and then incorporate his other paint schemes such as the "grey ghost" citizen soldier..

Good luck, know it will turn out Great!!!

  2. How about painting just one wall as a shrine to AMP and Jr.. Add a shelf or two as to add nick-nacks and collectibles. You can get life size re-stickable posters of Dale Jr.. Paint like an explosion of AMP colors with Dale Jr. seemingly coming through your wall. But what ever you do...have fun and you'll like it

  3. If you have enough windows in the room you might be OK but minus a lot of good light, you are probably right.

  4. I painted my room with a green theme once. I painted all the walls with the green. The secret is to paint the ceiling, any trim and your closet door(s) a white color. It keeps the room from being to dark, by reflecting enough light down. Of course with the Amp theme you could also get away with some kind of Racing stripes across the walls!

  5. Use red, it'll do good.

  6. Do it 2-tone like the top green with a white bottom or flipped the other way.

  7. You could paint the bottom half the green and white stripes, paint the top half a different color, and put a chair rail or wallpaper border in between the two different paint colors.

I wouldn't go with white as the top color, that will be too stark, maybe tan.

But if you do have plenty of sunlight, it should be fine either way.

  8. Paint two walls green and two walls white os paint the walls white with three green stripes like on his uniform as a border.

EDIT: Silly season is in full swing. I would wait to see if Amp re-ups with them which they would be stupid not to.

  9. make the walls white with green stripes

  10. Well, about 3 years ago I was redoing my room in Harvick colors and ran into the same problem that you did. At that time he still had the GM paint scheme and red was just too much on all of my walls and black was just out of the question. Sooo I ended up keeping my walls white, except for my front wall were my door to the bathroom is. My brother works for a really big signs and graphics company and he and a few other guys came and now that whole wall is covered with a giant #29

Seriously its freakin awesome and looks better than any fathead wall graphic. The bad thing about it though is we are moving soon and I can't take it with me lol. So maybe you could do a reverse of what you are wanting and try keeping your walls white or whatever they are and just do green stripes around the middle. And then maybe accent it with different stuff like flags, or a fathead. Also like Tom G said I would wait until silly season is over because 4 months after I did my room completely in GM goodwrench colors Harvick announced his primary would be shell next season.

  11. Green can be  a very beautiful color for a room if it is detailed right. For trim I would suggest something not as strong like maybe beige. With a dark room you should consider light curtains (or curtains that allows some light in).

You'll also want an appropriate amount of lighting. The extra lighting will be better on your eyes and have you mentally alert and feeling better.

    Just a thought.

  12. i love jr thats a cool you a going ot paint it like dale.  it would be a cool to have it black and a white three on a one of them walls then maybe like a amp energy dring on the other.

if a ya dont want ot have room look dark just a use white as a background and have some green and a black
