I have started to swim as a form of exercise and i want to perfect my breast stroke as i do not like water going up my nose. However my stroke is unbalanced as i can only move in the water by using my arms. My question is how do you perform the leg part of the swimming stroke?

  1. firstly brings your legs up and bend them then with your knees still close together puysh your legs together forcfully so your ankles knock to gether glide and count to three then and the smae time as the arm stroke do anither kick, and continue the cycle.

turst me i am a competitive swimmer and i am a breastsroker. ive been swiming for 7 years and our team always wins the isst tournament! this tenchinque was taught to me by my coach and he was a big national swimmer in Egypt.

  2. You are basically going up out together.  When you pull the heals up they should be behind you.  Do not tuck under the body or pop the knees apart.  To assure you are doing this right tuck a kickboard behind your head and while laying on your back practice the kick.  You want to try and have the heals hit your butt.  Then you arch your feet and turn them out keeping the knees close and powerfully whip them around until legs are straight.  Then you glide for 3 seconds.  That's it!

  3. It is almost like you bend your knees, circle them outward then push them together in a straight line. your arms should be straight when your legs are too. you need to blow bubbles out your nose when your head goes in. your head also needs to be submerged when your body is straight. also, your arms should make little circles, not gigantic ones. it is mostly in the kick in breast ok. make sure you whip your legs together too and dont bob your head at all!

  4. For the leg part you put them together and put it on your bottom then you push itback near the side and then it works but dont push too hard. It wastes energy.

  5. Bring your heels up to your butt, bring them out into a "V", then bring them together quickly. pause after you bring your legs together.  the sequence fo breast stroke is pull breath kick glide.  using a kick board is good practice
