How to propose a toast?

my cousins are leaving to faraway places to study .we are having an informal gathering for lunch today .i wish to propose a toast to them I'm an indian and very unaccustumed to toasting could u pls help me with the wordings (pls nobody in the gathering consumes alchohol ) i need it really quick pls dont insult me thank u

It's customary to begin by clinking a piece of silverware against your water glass to gain everyone's attention. Then just speak from your heart.

Frankly, the shorter the better.  It is an informal gathering afterall.  "Here's to Mary and John!  May they find their travels exciting and fulfilling!"  Usually toasts are a "best wish" for the honoree(s).  Anything more becomes a speech to be written down and presented!

PS: Now WHY would anyone INSULT you?  And WHY do you threaten to report people who would, even though you have a right to do that anyway?  Please don't take such a negative attitude, not everyone is out to "get" you!
