  1. soak your thumb in warm water. the wood should soak up the water and work it's way back out as it expands then you can grab the end with tweezers if you want (which really don't hurt that much).

  2. Well.. I was going to say tweezers.

    1..2..3... pluck!

Easiest way. But that's how I am too. I'm so squeamish. But, sorry. that's the best way, I think.

  3. Tweezers would be easiest, but since you're afraid of them:

If you have any Epsom salts, you can make a paste (1 cup Epsom salts to 1 cup water) and apply the paste to your thumb. It will draw out the splinter. This 100% works, I've used it before on splinters that were too deep for tweezers.

If you don't have any Epsom salts, you can try soaking your thumb in warm water. That will soften the skin and the splinter may work itself out.

Also, you could get a sibling or parent to take it out for you... just close your eyes and don't look and let them grab it with tweezers.

If you can't get it out, don't sweat it, it will work itself out given time.

  4. soak your hand in warm water. gently grab the end once it comes out some.

  5. If you are scared of tweezers have somone else do it while you aren't looking. What you should do it soak the finger in water and then it will come out a little at the end so you have to have a gentle person do it. Then carefully grab the sticking out end of the splinter with the tweezers and when you pull it out it won't hurt. And will DEFINITLY hurt much less then if you were to leave it in and then it get infected...or worse

  6. i sterlize a sweing needle and dig it out
