How to repair tv remote?

Question

1st of all the remote stopped working when i dropped it by chance.....

2nd its not working up even near the tv

very importantly i read that we check whether its working or not by mobile camera and seeing whether red appears in camera if we press buttons......surprisingly it seems red appears and i guess its then supposed to be funtional.....

but it isnt working.....i mean what does this mean....

and its a LRIPL remote.....

Try formatting your remote (enter your TV's code on the remote to program it). Read your manual for the specific code and how to enter it.
