How can I learn how to run faster? What are some simple and easy to understand exercises for sprinting faster for a long period time?

  1. sprint like down your street or have races............ tred water for a long period of time......... or just do some easy soccer drills and try to get really fast at it!


  2. Speed training.  Divide the soccer field into 5 zones:

    1. 20 yards of 25%

    2. 20 yards of 50%

    3. 20 yards of 100% (this is full sprint)

    4. 20 yards of 50%

    5. 20 yards of 25%

    Run from Zone 1 to Zone 5, changing your speed as depicted above, without stopping.  Take a short break and then turn around and do it again.  Do this for about 45 minutes at a time, or longer.

  4. we do wind-sprints. you start sprinting for about 30 seconds, then jog for a little while, then sprint for 40 seconds, jog, sprint 50, jog and keep going as long as you possibly can
