How to save flowers?

I was at my cousins wedding yesterday, and the flower were really pretty and they didnt want them to go to waste so they made them in it little corsages and gave it to the people at the wedding . how can i save them ? so the petals wont all fall off ..

  1. The corsage can be dried in silica gel available at many craft stores. The dried product is VERY delicate and will lose petals unless a thin "bead" of clear glue (ordinary white glue will dry clear) is delicately applied at the base of the petals after the flowers are dry. They will need to be kept in an airtight container (glass for display) to prevent them from absorbing any humidity in the air. Refrigerate them until you get the supplies.


  2. If you want to keep them looking fresh for a while, put the stems down in some water with a little bit of bleach or an aspirin in the water. If you're just wanting to preserve the flowers forever, best way is probably to press them. Place the flowers between two pieces of waxed paper inside a big heavy book, and place that book under a couple more big heavy books.
