Question:

How to stop/cure excessive sweating?

I definitely sweat a lot, but I've really noticed it this summer. I basically wear black all the time so I don't get sweat stains. (The sweating is mainly in the armpit area). I use Secret Platinum deodorant, but it does NOTHING for sweat stains.

I feel that this is a really gross problem and is completely inhibiting my clothing wardrobe. Any suggestions? I've heard Botox is sometimes the only solution (in the armpits), but I'd love to hear more feasible options.

Thanks.

  1. Black directs sun in to you, lighter colors are better. Try it one day in your backyard and see if the sweating stops a little if not see your pharmacist like what the 1st poster said.

  2. I had the same problem as a teen and young adult. I know how embarrassing and self conscious it can make you feel. I ruined many clothes due to underarm stains. I found a product that works wonders. It is called Certain-Dri. It is a deodorant that you put on at night. It works while you sleep. Then you use regular antiperspirant in the morning. Wait 2 hours after you take a bath to apply the Certain-Dri. Let it dry before you put your pj's back on. It will stain your pajamas if you don't. You can buy Certain-Dri at Rite-Aid and CVS pharmacies. You could probaly get it online at amazon.com It really works! I wished I had it when I was a teen. Best of luck to you honey.

  3. Sweating is a sign of how healthy your body is; the more you sweat, the healthier you are. If you are having problems with stains and are embarrassed may I suggest some undershirts? Every person on this earth sweats; there is nothing you can do to stop sweating, at least in a healthy manner. Try wearing the undershirts and perhaps ask around for a good deodorant?

  4. I have the same problem... or at least I did.

Ask your pharmacist for Drysol. It can be a little irritating when first using it (so stick to the directions) but it works really well after the 2nd time using it.

  5. same prob..bt idk
