How to switch cell phones...?

I have a cell phone currently but want to use another one I got. It is from the same provider, but I know that there are some numbers I have to punch in In order to use it. Can anyone tell me how to activate my new phone step by step without having to contact my cell phone company for help, sometimes they are just a pain to deal with.

depends on ur carrier ... for verizon u can go to vzw.com & do an esn change ... u need either the dec or hex # from the back of the phone underneath the battery by the barcodes ... its very easy

u can use bluetooth or infrared to send in.

it depends on your cell phone provider. some companies charge to actiave a new phone, other companies you can just put your sim card i it and it works fine. email me at [e-mail] and tell me who your carrier is and whether or not it is prepaid. i work in the cell phone industry i'm sure i can help
