How was Tsonga's game today?

Question

I didn't watch the match, but would like to know. Did he look fit enough to last the Grand Slam event? Also, was the level of play good (by his standards at Oz Open)?

I didn't know he was playing until I saw his name on the scoreboard. I am not a fan of his but it is really good to see him back after a very long injury. From what I saw of the highlights he was a bit rusty but did get alot better as the match went on. It's important that now he just plays some matches and not think about winning events etc. It was expected he would be put for the whole year but he has to take this early return as a bonus and use the match-practice as preparation for the Aussie next year where he has alot of points so defend!!!

But yeah, Basically he was a bit rusty but improved as it went on.

Tsonga was excellent today!! I think he played his best game ever!!! By the way do you know when does Rafael Nadal play? Djokovic is playing right now and I don't know if I should wait for the match to end or sleep, I don't know if Nadal is next or tomorrow!!!

i guess in the first set, he lost because he hasnt played since may.  but he cruised for the rest of the match

He looked pretty fit. Enough to last 6 more matches. He won easily over Ventura. He had made some fine shots, but not as fantastic as he was at the Australian Open. But again, he was only playing a lower ranked player. There wasn't much challenges for Tsonga, IMO.
