  1. The Philippines is composed of 7,107 beautiful, jewel islands.

It is nicknamed " The Pearl of the Orient" :)

It is known as the center of marine biodiversity in the whole world

Expect great Filipino hospitality, food and culture. Many foreigners consider Filipinos ( citizens of the Philippines ) very hospitable.

    --------------------------------------...

Ask the wife of the Ambassador of Italy who's been to one of the places of the Philippines. She said: " It's a jewel"

Also ambassadors of Turkey, Italy etc had a state visit and went scuba diving in one of our crystal clear waters. And they commented that the Philippines is very competitive in terms of tourism.

    - taken from an article of the Philippine Daily Inquirer

    --------------------------------------...

The Philippines is very very rich in terms of natural resources. I can't say all...

Expect the bustling, modern ( though a bit polluted ) city of Manila, the capital of the country, where all the action happens.

Foreigners consider this place GROUND ZERO for parties!

Although you may have a bad impression of the country because of our aging terminal, DON'T WORRY, a brand-new, modern and extra-large terminal is under repairs.

If you plan to go to the country, try visiting these places:

Batangas or Tagaytay ( where fresh air and breathtaking views of mountains awaits you )

Bohol ( where the marvelous Philippine tarsier and the Chocolate Hills lives.  This is the place where the Ambassadors of italy and turkey stayed )

Palawan ( The place which has one of the remaining hundred hectares of trees, very diverse in natural resources, home of the Tubbataha Reefs ( where endangered marine species such as the Pawikan Turtle )

Well, if you want to stay in the Manila area, try visiting these places:

    1) SM Mall of Asia ( Opened in 2006, this is the largest mall in the Philippines with over 2,000 shopping establishments, IMAX Cinemas, a world class ice-skating rink. I could last a day in this modern mall  )

    * SM is the leading mall in the Philippines with over 30 branches. Most of them found in Manila but SM Mall of Asia is the largest of them all

    2) Bonifacio High Street - found in Taguig City ( the newest city in Manila ). This is one of the most MODERN faces of Manila. With a street of shops, whether it be Havaianas or Calvin Klein, Starbucks, Itallianis etc )

    3) Manila Ocean Park- Opened last March 2008, this features indigenous fishes, turtles, marine species of the Philippines. You can try the fish spa there!

    AND MORE...

Have fun in the Philippines! and Mabuhay! :)

PROOF that foreigners love the Philippines ( i put a question to foreigners about how they think of the Philippines, here are their answers - ( i didnt revise them or anything ok? ):

I don't know if I'd qualify - but I've lived in Philippines now for 8 years, in Pampanga, Laguna and now Cavite, and really love my Tagaytay home. It's cooler than at sea level, view is stunning, and the nearest mall is 5 minutes walk away. The only problem is all the tourists over the weekends ☺.
